The accessibility of information is changing rapidly with technological advances being made each day. The Copiague Memorial Public Library, in its effort to provide the most up-to-date resources available has created a unique local area network known as COPNET.

Here you will find free access to the Internet and a wide variety of information resources. Patrons have complete, user-friendly access to valuable reference databases, along with application software programs such as Microsoft Word 2000 and Microsoft Excel 2000

Located in Adult Services you will find eleven workstations for the public to use. (Please note: ten COPNET workstations are reserved for Copiague Library cardholders only). Our friendly, knowledgeable staff is always on hand to help you access the information you are looking for.

Some of the valuable resources patrons may access can be found in the Virtual Reference Collection, an on-line collection of databases that includes, encyclopedias, newspaper and magazine indexes, business reports, car repair, census and consumer information, literature resources and much more. We also have access to College Source Online, a database that provides complete information on every college and university worldwide and the Community Resource Database, which includes contact information for hundreds of Long Island health and social services organizations.
