Continuing Programs

The library conducts many fabulous programs on a continuous basis.

Registration is required for some programs, where specified due to limited space. 

There are no fees.  Come down and join in!

A visiting nurse is here on the fourth Monday of every month. 
Do it for your health!  No registration is required.


Copiague Homemakers

New members are always welcome to join this group of local ladies making exciting and beautiful decorative crafts for the home. Meets almost every Wednesday evening.


ESL

This English as a Second Language class is an ongoing program that meets at the library on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Find out more about this program by calling Western Suffolk BOCES at 667-6000, ext. 303 or stop in and speak with the ESL instructor.  No registration is required.


TAI-CHI

Practiced by millions in China, this exercise form uses slow stretching and meditation to relieve stress and promote good health. Loose, comfortable clothing should be worn. Afternoon Yoga

Certified Yoga Instructor Carol Long will help you connect with your mind, body and spirit. Reap such benefits as releasing tension, firming up your muscles and cultivating concentration. Loose clothing should be worn. Participants must bring their own mats.

Simply Stronger for Seniors

This low-stress stretching and light exercise class for seniors meets most Mondays at noon.   Space is limited. Registration required.

Our seniors view latest releases and classic movies most Wednesdays at Noon.

Saturday Evening Film Festival

Classic movies are enjoyed by many at the library on most Saturday evenings.  Space is limited. Registration required.


Evening Yoga 

Join certified Yoga Instructor Eileen Lichtenstein for this eight week introductory class on the basics of yoga. Learn the spiritual, emotional and physical benefits of this ancient relaxation and exercise technique. Most Tuesday evenings 7:30-8:30.

The only thing better than reading a good book, is talking about it with others. 
Afternoon programs are usually held every other Thursday afternoon.
Evening programs are usually held every other Tuesday evening.

Join us each month for a great discussion of a popular and interesting novel. 
Good company and refreshments are on the agenda. A copy of each book is available at the Circulation Desk. Newcomers are always welcome.  Space is limited. Registration required.
