"The Literacy Builder" is now on the web. The link is in the
masthead of this issue. The site contains the current issue as well as the
previous issues in PDF format. There are still some "bugs" to
work out, but once this occurs, we will no longer e-mail copies or provide
printed copies to anyone.
If you wish to see your work appear in this publication, it must reach us by
the 15th of the month BEFORE the issue month. E.g. the submission deadline for
October is September 15. Get together with your tutors and write an article,
essay, composition, etc. on any topic. Submit your completed work by e-mail to
the address on the masthead, by U.S. Post to
50 Deauville Blvd
Copiague NY 11726
or through the Suffolk
County Library mail system by dropping your envelope off at any S.C. public
library (NO POSTAGE REQUIRED for this service). You may also drop it off at the
Literacy Nassau office in Hempstead. We are always looking for your feedback
about our current features and suggestions concerning topics of special interest
to you. We welcome all learner contributions. Contributions by e-mail are
preferred, but receipt by other means will not jeopardize anyone's chances of
being published in this newsletter. We are also open to suggestions for the
biographical sketches appearing in this newsletter, as well as for any other
topics of interest. --Ed
